the intake manifold gasket, plenum gasket, thermostat, throttle body gasket (used gasket material for this one), vacuum hoses, coolant hoses, spark plugs (Denso K16TR11), Splug Wires, Burped Cooling system, EGR Valve gasket, IAC valve gasket, Fuel Injectors insulators+O-rings, CLEANED all connectors very well, Knock Sensor, Cleaned Plenum and Intake Ports...
So...After all that, the car STILL runs rough, poor acceleration for a VG30E engine, very slow on hills.
When you start the car, it starts after 3 seconds and the RPM needle oscillates between 600-850 rpm for about 1 seconds and then is goes to 1200 rpms steady until it warms up for a minute and return to 750 rpm, and yet the needle seems to ocillate between 750-700 in a vibrating motion.
When I rev the engine in neutral, it sound nice and revs good, no knocking or misfiring, but when the engine idling in park, the needle oscillates like mentioned before.
When I took it for a ride, I was curious as of how the car will feel actually driving it, and seemed like I was driving the van with a 1.5L engine or something.
All the Injectors are clicking at the same rate...I used a rubber hose to hear them.
I know that the spark plugs arent the ones the manual says to use. Ive got "NGK BKR5EGP" which are the same heat range and sizes, just that this one are platinum, supposed to last more miles.
Will my Denso K16TR11 spark plugs be causing the car to run rough?
I know I need to gap the spark plugs, did that already with the Denso plugs. How do I check for a fouled spark plug? by removing the plug wire one at a time and see a change in idle?
Other symptom the car has is that for example, the car is going 10, 20, 30 mph...my foot is on the gas pedal and suddenly I decide to lower the speed by applying the brakes...the RPMs go from lets say 1700 to 600 to 750 and oscillates between 700 and 750....and stays there...not a 100% steady 750 idle to the naked eye!
Today Im changing the oil with Pennzoil 10W30 and using a Purolator Filter.
The car has 92K miles.
Should I be worried for bad Crankshaft Sensors and Camshaft Sensor?
Can I loosen a bit the "Distributor Hold ON bolt" with the engine running and move the distributor from left to right to advance or retard timming and see how the idle runs?
HELPP!!! Driving me crazy this ROUGH driving!!
Years before, the car ran fine and the AVERAGE RPMS where 1800 in the city, sometimes even 1500...and the car accelerated fine and started and idled properly...
NOW...I need to take the engine to almost 1300-1500 RPMS to go at the same "speed"..and at a ZERO angle street, it feels like its climbing a 20 angle hill!!
Driving crazy....
