of course! japanese cars are cheaper in japan because they are not imported. just like american cars are cheaper in america because they are not imported, and parts are easier to get. but the japanese crowd have learned that americans want the skyline so private sellers will raise the price.

Here is the rub you cannot just import a Japan spec car to the United States. Lots of EPA and DOT modifications need to be done and certified. Also the Skyline GTR everyone wants from fast and furriest were only made in very few numbers and are 12 to 16 years old rusted out and well worn and driven so hard you really don't want a broken right hand drive car with rust from japan. Ask US Customs what you do to bring in a Skyline. And most of all better know some one who speaks Japanese because some one will have to import parts for your car. Or 93,000 for a new GTR supercar here in America.

As Kristen Said. Sorry if i mispelled it I cant see it as i'm typing.
With the cars not being imported that does cut down on the cost a bit.
Base Price: 2009 Nissan Skyline GT-R - $69,850
While in japan it would be your average car price of 20k to 30k.
Its considered a class car rather than an exoctic.
Fun Fact o The Cars Nick Name Is GODZILLA.
