Ok i want to know what year nissan 240sx has no speed limiter/ governor also some one told me that if you take the speed limiter/governor it wont pass emission test and they told me to do this.... that there is a chip you buy and put it in place of the speed limiter chip and that it goes off and when you take emissions change the chip to the original just so it will pass then you just change it to what you bought is this true i will appreciate any extra info or a website thanks

The speed limiter is there to keep you from overrunning your tires and breaking your neck, so I'd leave it alone.

Look at Jim Wolfe Technology's web site. As for speed limiter the 240SX was governed around 124 miles an hour your stock motor manual or automatic will take several minutes to get up to that speed. Nissan and other manufactures have to stop the car before the speed rating of the tires. If you plan a high speed run do it where there are no other cars (police cars too) Be sure all your tires are in good condition (no patches or cracks) and properly inflated. DOT number on the tire is week of the year and year example (0809) February 2009. If your riding on more than 6 year old tires keep it slow. A blow out at 120 miles an hour and crash could be bad news. Most 240sx owners go for "off road and racing" engine controls with plans to build up a hot KA-24 motor and go out and blow up there 20 year old engine. SO BE CAREFUL

I believe they all have limiters. early ones at about 110 later ones at about 118mph. you best chance of getting one without a limiter is to find an SE that originally came with V or Z speed rated tires.

If you only want to try it once to see what it does, you can defeat the limiter by unplugging the speed sensor AND the top gear switch on the transmission. It worked on my 95 240sx anyway. FYI: it was good for about 135mph (mostly stock car, no spoiler).

Why do you want to remove the speed limiter? 240sx has never been a really fast car, so removing the speed limiter would only give you like 5mph ?

You can use a car performance simulator to theoretically see whats the max speed of a car, without speed limiter, and find out if its worth or not the removal.
