Key code for Nissan Micra radio?

Question

My battery was disconnected during a service, and now my radio/cd player won't work. I don't have a key code for it, as the dealer who sold me the car didn't give me a drivers' manual... and has now gone out of business. Please help - the sound of silence is driving me crackers!

Hi there, There are many models of Micra and many different styles of stereo fitted. The age of the car and would have helped answer your question easier.

K11 Micra, the stereo will have to be removed from the dashboard and the chassis number will be stamped/etched into the side of the unit either a BP or CL number possibly 12 digits from memory.

K12 Micra, the top of the dashboard will have to be lifted off to enable the stereo to be removed and you will find the same info as above.

Once you have the info it makes it easier to retrieve the radio code.

Contact Nissan (www.nissan.co.uk) as they will probably have it on file, or go to any car audio centre who should be able to "de-code" it (for a small fee)
