Do you think the Porsche Boxster is a girly or gay car?

I'm thinking about getting one(probably a 2003 s version). I really like the way they drive and their interior. But I dont want to get one if people think its a car for girls or gay guys. Whats your opinion of it? I'm also considering a Nissan 350z. Do you think it's a better or cooler car?

Personally I am with Tricky on this one, I would take the 350z over any porsche even if it was a 911 turbo, I am not saying that porsches are a rubbish car as they are great hence they have got where they are today but to me they aren't great, I jsut hate the styling its horrible and its got worse over time. I think the last nice porsche was the 1984 911 also the boxster to me is a poor mans porsche jsut liek the cayman, both ugly and to be honest if you are going to buy a porsche jsut fidn a cheap 911 it will be so much better. But end of the day even better than that bu ythe 350z, great car, amazing looks, brilliant engine, a sound to die for at full cry, and japanese reliability at the same time, the 350z is a perfect combination in my opinion. Some may say I am being biast as I own a nissan skyline but end of the day theres a reason I own a nissan skyline over a porsche.. it is simply better and so is the 350z, buy the 350z mate you wont regret it :) Also on the noe of the boxster being gay or girly i would vote both to be honest. anyone I know wh osees a 350z their eyes light up any girls I know love them, now any girls I know that see a boxster dotn really care less about them and think they are frog looking.

Tricky is completely wrong. If my girlfriend showed up and asked me what car I drive, and I said Nissan, she wouldn't say anything but think I am a poor man. But if instead I responded Porsche, her mouth would drop open and an irresistible smile would form on her face. Absolutely the Porsche is a cooler car than Nissan.



And you know what else? Not only does the Porsche have a better name, it is also a lot more reliable AND has better quality than the Nissan. The Nissan 350Z has terrible suspension, the ride comfort is nowhere near the Porsche Boxster. The simple truth is that Nissan will always be a poor man's car, a wannabe's car. But in the Porsche Boxster, most people won't know the difference between that and a 911 Carrera. So you will be cooler, and definitely known for great taste in cars. Plus there is that famous German engineering and pedigree that is far superior to Nissan's unknown engineering and pedigree. AND the Nissan 350Z looks like an ugly frog, while the Porsche Boxster has graceful lines of a true sports car. I could go on and on, but you get my point, get the Porsche and have fun!

Poor mans Porsche or a tuner car,yep the tuner wins,the trouble with the boxster is people always class a poor mans version so it will always look like someone is trying to hard and more often brought one for its badge even if they did or not,i am sure you keep asking this question in other areas and again my friends took a vote and we all voted it was girly and more people said it was a gay not what i said but my friends in there numbers and these are car fan friends.



Sorry even if you gave me the most expensive Porsche i would take the Nissan or any Nissan for that matter,and for the 350z def as it is a great car and offers great value for its price and seen my people that way also.



This is the way it is really as where i live there is a Ferrari garage and we see Lambo's etc driving by the schools as well as Porsche models daily and yet one seems to notice or more often wants to notice,yet the ultimate best moment came when a Nissan R35 GTR went by and the parents and children and the school turn there heads and said how great it was.



I usually other a technical answer between the cars but i cant when ever Porsche is inolved i just cant get by the ugly front ends which look like a frogs face,and this has been there since i was a kid.and i am car mad and should not do that but yuk.



Lol Tricky is wrong no he just does not have badge snobbery,wow a Porsche just because of its name and as for people thinking a Nissan is a poor mans car then again that is from people whom do not know cars well enough and again only know badges,myself i drive a Skyline and not for other people but for myself and that never fails to attract a crowd daily of people from young to old as well as the car being invited to garage open days and on posters on there walls so at least there are people out there whom will not knock Nissan and yet see there hertiage.And sorry the boxster as always and will always be known as the poor mans Porsche sorry to burst your badge bubble.

And i never knocked the brand just the styling is not to my taste.

I would take Porsche any day over the Nissan. I'm sorry but the Porsche is such a better name and has the reputation to back it. Although the Boxster is not my favorite Porsche, I do like the new 2011 Boxster design. Listen, any car that can go 0-60 in under 6 seconds is a pretty dope car. I would broaden your base though and look at other cars in its class. If you want more power and can spend $10k more, go with the M3, now that's a car.

So Porsche is for men and women, don't sweat it. And seriously, Porsche or Nissan?? OF COURSE pick the PORSCHE!! You would have to be a complete idiot to choose the ugly Nissan 350Z over the handsome Porsche Boxster. AND the Porsche Boxster is a lot more fun to drive and a lot more comfortable than the Nissan 350Z. Pick the Porsche, it's so much cooler.

The Boxster, especially the S version, is widely regarded as one of the best handling cars you can buy at any price. I've personally never heard anyone say that the Boxster is a car for "girls" or for "gay guys" etc., but that's irrelevant anyway. My suggestion to you would be to buy the car if you like it and tell anyone who has a problem with your choice of cars to kiss your @$$ because it's none of their business what you buy with your own money.
